From ancient Roman sculpture to modern painting and graphic design, the 45 galleries cover virtually every genre of art imaginable. Exhibit highlights include the popular 19th century French galleries, where you'll see works by Rodin, Matisse, Manet, Delacroix, Cezanne, and Monet. The early Greek and Roman galleries display ancient sculpture, coins, and frescoes. The museum's permanent collection includes over 15,000 costumes and textiles, and over 18,000 drawings and paintings.
